Ironstone Kilns Rosedale
Rosedale ironstone kilns were built in 1856 to take the ironstone from Hollins mine in Rosedale. Ironstone was tipped into the kilns and a process of Calcining was used to burn off impurities to reduce weight to make it easier for transporting.
