Hugger Tree
This split tree stood toward the bottom of a wet arroyo, looking almost as if it had arms spread wide for hugging. Its cruciform shape, and bared reddish heart wood likewise brought to mind the crucifix, but only vaguely. I'd love to show you the larger photos, but this gives you a hint of how impressive the detailing of the thing in person.
