History is anything to anyone.
To those of us who traveled the sea in aircraft carriers it is the part of ship we worked in, and one part of ship was the Squadron.
This is the last Aussie S2-G Tracker, folding her wings is a farewell salute... made by Grumman in the USA, and still airworthy.
Except the Aussie Navy won't let it fly any more - just a lack of costs and costs and will; but us older guys want to see this graceful grumbling piece of our past flying and tearing up the skies as it used to...
in the near future we will see 844 taxi again, making rumbling memories for a couple of hundred people as we sip a cold beer and reminisce, and tell lies and generally remember our past...
The past is full of memories and lessons... Sadly the lessons are not always learned.
