Gothic R
A flourished Gothic capital letter 'R' known historically as a Cadel. It's great fun playing with these very old decorative letters from the 15th & 16th centuries.
I have designed 4 letters J, K, V & W to complete our modern alphabet, as they did not exist then. In written Latin the letters I & J used the same form as did U & V. The letters K & W do not exist in Latin.
I used a Pilot pen with a 5mm chisel edge nib and a variety of Matisse inks.
