The first girl programmer was Ada Lovelace, who in 1842-1843 developed a method for calculating a sequence of Bernoulli numbers using proposed by Charles Babbage mechanical general-purpose computer. Construction of this machine was never completed, but the described method was correct and is now recognised as the world’s first computer program.
