Fading into Morning Haze
I wanted this elevated city view to feel airy, as though the skyline were slowly appearing through a bright coastal morning. I began with extremely diluted washes of blue, peach, and warm gray, saving stronger values for the tree-lined streets and buildings nearest the viewer. The distant towers were painted with softened edges so they would seem suspended in haze. I resisted adding too much detail.
