Cowry Shell Study
I’ve started a new nature/found object series combining painting and photography, executed in muted tones, the series is called Art of Objectification. Cowry (cowrie) exhibit (a) (larger image on the left) is my painting of a leaf and Cowry (cowrie) exhibit (b) (smaller image on the right) is my own iPhone photo of that same cowry (cowrie), which I’ve used as reference for the painting. I’ve always enjoyed museum exhibits, labelled collections, etc. So this is the road I’ve decided to go down for a while, and just see where it leads. Thanks for looking.
