Venus Rising

195 views 28th March 2016 Venus the Morning Star Created in CS5 from two photographs , added filters, textures and a few layers I dedicate this work to my daughter Corinna, whose picture I used in my creation. She has Taurus rising in her astrology chart and is a gorgeous caring mother to her four children. There are many myth’s surrounding the morning star. I love Mythology and have read different versions of Venus, also known by other names. It’s all out there to read for anyone interested. Venus in Roman and Aphrodite in Greek myth is the Goddess of love and beauty, grace and sensuality. She gave her name to the second planet of dawn and dusk as did her sister Goddess Inanna (Sumeria) and Ishtar (Babylonian) Venus was born of the union of sky and the fertile sea womb. She arose naked from the sea, the source of all life… In astrology Venus is the ruler of Taurus the second sign of the zodiac Taurus people adore comfort and like being surrounded by pleasing, soothing things…..and so much more… The work contained in my gallery is copyright ©Ellanita Arlee.
