View Larger on Chockstone Photography Lake Buffalo lies at the foot of the western slope of Mt Buffalo National Park. It’s not far from Myrtleford, and is quite beautiful in the setting sunlight. The lake is often used for water skiing. So much so, in fact, that capturing this image was an exercise in frustration. Each time a boat would pass by my reflections would be shattered and I’d need to wait five minutes for the surface to calm. I’d then start a long exposure, only to hear the roar of another engine. This process continued right through sunset and into twilight. Fortunately small windows of opportunity presented themselves when the boat’s inhabitants would halt proceedings to consume beverages and yell random verbalisations at each other. During one such pause in the festivities I was able to secure this shot.
