Baliarrain Laiadores
This Mural is located on the fronton of Baliarrain, a small town in Gipuzkoa, Basque Country. In the mural we can see women and men working together on the land with Laia, a traditional plow. This communal work practice fostered cooperation between families and held the community together. The Laia did not differentiate between genders and promoted equality, since it did not require the necessary force to control draft animals, which could contribute to gender equality in other aspects of life, such as hereditary customs.
