The Exploding Ocean, inspired by Dali
A few months ago, I saw my first Dali painting, Tête Raphaëlesque éclatée [Exploding Raphaelesque Head] and I fell in love with it. His depictions of exploding heads and figures are thought to have been inspired by the atomic bomb. When I saw this painting, and the chaos erupting around the serene face of young madonna, I immediately thought of the ocean and the debris I've seen cascading around wildlife in photos. We have so much power and so much potential. How we use them is what defines us.
