Tai-Chi #4
Vajramukti "Divine Thunderbolt" or "Dharma-clasped hand": A comprehensive system of mind/body training practiced by the Kshatriya ("Warrior") class of ancient India. Circa A.D. 520, Bodhidharma-Tamo traveled from India to China, where he shared these teachings with the monks of the Sung Mountain Range (Hunan Province). This was the genesis of the legendary Shaolin martial tradition.
Circa A.D. 1200, Shaolin master Chang San Feng synthesized what he had learned in his years of training, into a new discipline, Tai-Chi (“Supreme Ultimate"). Over the centuries, Tai-Chi evolved into several different styles, and is the most widely practiced physical discipline in the world.
