A striking vintage natural-history emblem celebrating Delaware’s official state marine animal, the horseshoe crab (Limulus polyphemus). Centered prominently is a highly detailed horseshoe crab viewed from above, displaying its distinctive horseshoe-shaped carapace, segmented body, multiple legs and characteristic pointed telson. The illustration combines scientific accuracy with an elegant retro American state-emblem aesthetic.
Above the crab, bold arched golden-orange typography reads “STATE MARINE ANIMAL”, while “DELAWARE” appears prominently beneath in large, strong capital letters.
