I painted this piece over a two-month cycle of anxiety an depression. I came to her when I felt lost. She taught me patience and love and reignited my passion. The hands grasping at the eyelid were initially intended to represent my anxiety forcing me to be alert, but later came to represent myself. I am growing and I am looking towards future successes
