Clontarf Shelter (Dublin, Ireland)
Cycling home from Howth I stopped in Clontarf. Because of those shelters. Dublin Bay and the Liffey Estuary was serene all the way in, but I couldn't get enough of the shelters that morning - especially this particular one. I didn't even walk up to it I just stayed out at the road and look and looked, saying I'm going to paint that when I get home. This is that painting. There are about 4 of those shelters and I've always enjoyed them. By Herbert Simms who you may know better as the man responsible for all those Dublin Corporation houses you see in Cabra and Crumlin and so on - if you go to Cabra and Crumlin and so on.
