View Larger on Chockstone Photography Built in 1952 this hut was originally used for grazing and boasted stables and horse yards. These days it 's used for camping by walkers and cross country skiers heading into the Jagungal wilderness. Given that it's within spitting distance of the sealed Cabramurra to Khancoban road it would have to be one of the most accessible Kosciuszko huts. I came across it completely by chance, on my way to hike into and photography another hut entirely. The clouds looked so intense I had to pull over and take the shot.
