Dear Esteemed Nominees, Solo Exhibition Members, and Guests,

Saturday, September 29th, 2012, Solo Exhibition presents the 19th Juried Invitational Art Exhibition, celebrating ninety-one (91) artists, representing twenty-eight (28) countries, exhibiting, on the theme of the Human Figure, artworks and photographs, in its publicly accessible member space on RedBubble.

All works in the show are nominated works, invited after a selection process by Solo’s board.

First through Third places in the Traditional Art, Digital Art, and Photographic Art categories, will be awarded, based on the total of Judges’ scores. The artwork with the highest score, over all categories, will be awarded “Best in Show”, besides a category first place. Judges will also make special merit awards.

The show runs from September 29th through October. Awards Day will be in October 2nd, at noon New York time, when an interactive ceremony is held in the virtual exhibition space.

Please accept our invitation to also visit the Human Figure Workshop – Show & Tell, where artists showcase how they took a work from concept to finish, referencing and translating photographs by select Solo photographers, under written agreement.

Our free October workshop is the first of our hands-on “Essentials” series, where you can learn Graphics Essentials important for presenting online traditional and photographic works in their best light, and basics for digital design. I had a great day at this ‘clearing sale’ indulging in one of my favourite pastimes – ‘People Watching’!!! This particular sale was held in the Strathbogie Ranges, near Avenel, Victoria. Very much an Australian social event and a meeting place for the local farming community. I had a wonderful time just observing the men as they stand around for a yarn about the weather or the sheep and cattle prices, while the women search for a bargain! I took a sketchbook and a camera and then completed this painting in my studio.
