The Challenge

The 4th in our new challenge layout catering for all aspects of nature for us nature lovers.

As you can see the title will start with the category which will make it easier for me when choosing what challenge to do next, I can see the challenges I have already run in this category.

Interesting Facts

> Coccinellids are found worldwide, with over 5,000 known species.

> They are generally considered useful insects as many species feed on aphids or scale insects.

> Coccinellids are often brightly colored to ward away potential predators. Predator attacks cause “reflex bleeding” in both larval and adult lady beetles, in which an alkaloid toxin is exuded through the joints of the exoskeleton, deterring feeding.
