YOU CHOOSE - Mutualism & Commensalism

This challenge closed over 6 years ago.

The Challenge

This is our 3rd challenge in the ‘YOU CHOOSE’ series and because we had joint winners in the ’YOU CHOOSE – Camouflaged Wildlife challenge Eric Schlogl and Natural Cultural, both get to choose a theme which will keep us going for the this and the following challenge.

This theme is courtesy of Eric Schlogl.

*So as the theme suggests, you can enter images that illustrate relationships between two organisms (excluding humans) where at least one organism benefits and neither is harmed.

Example of Mutualim, ants harvesting honeydew from aphids and in return protecting the aphids from predators.

Example of Commensalism, clownfishes and their anemones, where clownfishes find protection in the stinging arms of the anemone, and the anemone is neither helped nor harmed by the clownfishes.
