Spooky Specimens of Nature

This challenge closed over 7 years ago.

The Challenge

Welcome to our 1st challenge and as we’ve decided to start it early, what better way to get you all warmed up by giving you an easy theme.

So its “Spooky Specimens of Nature” like the title suggests your photo’s must be of nature, things of the wild not domesticated or home grown and they MUST tie in with Halloween so for example:
a spooky looking tree
silhouette’s of nature
dark landscapes
animals associated with Haloween.

In fact anything scary looking is ideal, so use your imagination.

Almost forgot, please remember most importantly that your photo MUST give the Species Name, Scientific Name and a Brief Description or Interesting Fact of your subject. If you have submitted landscape work just give location with something interesting to follow.
