Please post where in Arizona you captured your work. We want to display the beauty of Arizona state ONLY!

Wintery Wildlife in Arizona (Native Animals Only)

This challenge closed over 7 years ago.

The Challenge

As the winners of November’s Group challenge, Rmanruss and Dick Paige have chosen the theme for December’s avatar challenge.

We are looking for, if possible, wintery scenes of native wildlife in Arizona. Please refer to the image provided for a great example of what we’re looking for in this Challenge!

Are you thinking you may need some help in finding where to photograph wildlife this time of year? No problem. Check out this wonderful website, Arizona’s Watchable Wildlife . There is a handy, interactive map dividing up the State into 5 different sections. Click on any of them, and it will take you to that region’s detailed suggestions for finding wildlife during any month of the year!

I will delete images of domesticated animals (dogs, cats, pets, etc.) and livestock (farm/barnyard types) photos. This challenge is for “wild” life, hopefully caught in a winter setting. If a wintery setting is not possible, then any Arizona wildlife will work, too.

Photographs only, please

Judging / Voting Criteria

All entries MUST state somewhere in the title or the description or in the comments from where in Arizona the photograph was taken!

Vote for the photograph you like the most that fits the Challenge criteria, and represents the group the best.

Rewards & Prizes

The winning image will become the group avatar, be featured on the group’s overview page, and have the honor of a first place win!

That image’s artist will also get the option to choose the theme for next month’s avatar challenge, and become one of the Group’s Featured Members.

Additional Information

All entries must fit the group’s guidlines.

All entries must be submitted and accepted into the group before the time the challenge closes. If it’s not, you lose!
