Description de l'artiste

A long time ago a sorcerer named Nipissingue lived in Rawdon, Canada. He was in love with sweet Hiawatha. She wanted to become a nun and panicked when she heard that she had to marry Nipissingue. She decide to give her love to Arondack, the sworn enemy of the sorcerer.

To take revenge upon Arondack, Nipissingue sent the tribe on the warpath. Just as he planned, Arondack came back seriously injured.
One day, Hiawatha (who was nursing him) ran out of medicinal herbs. She went to Dorwin Chasm, which was a small stream at the time, to get some more.
When the sorcerer saw her he became enraged and pushed her into the chasm. When he bent over the chasm to look at her body, a loud clap of thunder was heard.

The chasm turned into a wonderful waterfall and Nipissingue was turned to stone. His face can still be seen overlooking the falls today.:)
