My name is Benoit Cote and I’m a colorist based in Montreal, Canada. I define myself as an engaged image enthusiast, passionated about colors, tones and frequencies.

What you will see here is a study and tribute to the work of others. In an effort to explore the evolution of color throughout motion pictures, I created a filter that extracts perceived colors of a selected frame and lay them on an horizontal line that reflects the original composition. I then stitched every frame vertically to get a bird’s eye view at thousands of frames simultaneously. I called it colorblinds, because it filters colors and reminds me venetian blinds.
