About Me

Hello everyone! I have now been designing through Redbubble for a little over a year and I wanted to share a little bit about who I am.
• • •
I just graduated high school and am an incoming college freshman pursuing my latest side hustle. I have always loved using different mediums, fonts, and Snapchat Geofilters. When I learned that you could submit your own geofilter for a location, I decided to try it out. After all, my town/the whole state’s rival high school already had a geofilter, so mine obviously needed one too. I didn’t have tons of money to spend on software, so I learned how to make the most of free apps. Phonto was my app of choice. About 2 years ago, my first Snapchat Geofilter was activated.
• • •
I designed a few more using Phonto, then canva.com, and a free trial of Affinity Designer. I even designed some geofilters for graduation open houses of people I had never met.
• • •
During the school year I didn’t do much more designing, but the next spring I wanted to design open house geofilters for some of my friends that were graduating. So, I decided to give in and pay a whole $50 to buy Affinity Designer.
• • •
As it turns out, that was the best $50 I have ever spent.
• • •
I had bought stickers from Redbubble before, but they didn’t have any cross country ones that I really liked. So, I made an account and started uploading new designs for stickers that I would buy.
• • •
I have now been selling on Redbubble for just over a year. I can’t believe it has been that long, but I have grown so much.
• • •
Still, I have plenty of growing left and I have yet to truly find my style. My newest designs are the ones I am most proud of, as I learn more about how to use the software and how to make original pieces that people will enjoy. I’m excited to use my summer break to focus on designing instead of worrying too much about school.
• • •
In the fall, I will be starting college at the University of Arizona. While I do not plan on pursuing any type of graphic design degree, it will continue to be my side hustle and I will continue searching for my style.
• • •
For now, I will stay patient, keep designing, and keep learning!
