Been Gone

I was just asked how I’ve been, so since you guys have been so welcoming of me and my art, I decided to tell what’s been going on, why I haven’t been here.

I’ve had better times for sure! My youngest daughter just finished her (hopefully) last of three surgeries. She was very sick since last May, had to delay going to college and has been pretty miserable for more than a year. Now she’s got hyperthyroidism and is anxious and oh so irritable much of the time as a result. My oldest is testing my patience big time too! That’s since Sept. My parents have gone behind my back and given her some inappropriate help, so she’s not learning how to help herself. Needless to say, they’re not going to be around forever! (they are 77 and 79). And my middle daughter was just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and never, ever feels rested, even now with the proper sleep apparatus! She had to leave college last semester because she was so, so fatigued she couldn’t concentrate. Then in the middle of all that my husband, who never gets sick, fell ill and needed surgery right away!

Now everyone is fine, recovering, except my daughter with sleep apnea. She’s still not rested and still hasn’t found the right head gear for her breathing machine.

Oh well, things could be worse! My best friend was just diagnosed with breast cancer, but they think they got it all during her surgery last week.

I still count my blessings, every day, for my life, that my health has been improving, & that my husband is so precious! And so strong, he’s a real gem, he helps me keep grounded. The girls will get straightened out, and they are regaining their strength. I have a nice home, a newer car and mostly enough money to pay the bills. We certainly won’t starve, but I had to cut back on stuff. I’ve been out of town a lot because my daughter’s surgeries were done 6 hours away, so we wasted a lot of money eating out while there. Also I missed a lot of work, we both did. But as I said I am hoping thst God will continue to look out for us and that our blessings will likely grow, not diminish.

Hope things are well with all of you!
