Künstler-Statement

A leopard cub(Panthera pardus)relaxing in a tree in the Sabi Sands at Londolozi,South Africa.She is a female and the daughter of the female leopard known there as Mashaba.They had an Impala kill below which was subsequently stolen by Hyenas but the leopards Mashaba and her cub then stole it back and put it up the tree this time!!She is now known as the Hlumingwe female leopard and this photograph was published in the Smithsonian magazine!

Canon 1DX,canon 200-400mm lens at 560 mm using the built in 1.4 x extender .f/6.3 iso 640s iso 2000
