Retired. Now it is time to experiment with the digital age of Photography specialising in flowers and macro/closeup images and...

I started taking photo’s over 50 years ago with a 35mm Diax interchangeable lens film camera with which I took hundreds of 35mm slides.
Moved to super 8 motion film, then to analog video, then digital video, rarely taking still images.
In 2007 purchased a Canon TX1 camera as a second digital video camera and fell in love with taking still images again, even if there was very limited control over the image capture.
In 2011 I acquired an Canon SX1 Camera but would love a Canon SQL 5D Mark Iv (that is a dream as I have retired).
I have retired and now have the time to experiment and are currently trying to develop my still image technic.
I consider myself very much an amateur.
Latest camera is a Canon M5 mirrorless camera.
Great camera, brilliant result, has the full range of canon lenses available, Lightweight, great for travelling.
