The Challenge

An awesome close-up will be chosen to be our new Avatar. The image does not have to be a 1:1 Macro, but it should draw attention to our group, and look great in the square format. I would love to see something unique that we do not see everyday. This doesn’t necessarily mean a unique animal, it can be photographed, drawn or painted in a unique, eye-catching way.

Judging / Voting Criteria

Remember to enter your best work! If your entry does not fit all of these criteria, it will be removed prior to the vote. The Avatar competition is a tough one. Do not get your feelings hurt if your image is removed. It doesn’t mean it is not an excellent image. It must be considered EXCEPTIONAL AVATAR QUALITY by the hosts. The winning image must be the best of the best!

Photographs should have sharp focus, best lighting, interesting composition, creative depth of field, well balanced and saturated color photos, or well balanced highlights midtones and shadows with crisp contrast for black and white photos, and visual impact!

All types of artwork are allowed, except T-shirts and calendars. Choose your work that exemplifies great design elements: Line, Shape, Form, Space, Texture, Light and Color.

The Avatar Challenge is a big one, so judges, please consider your choices carefully!
