I remember listening to the “top 8 at eight” radio show on Eon FM in 1984 or 1985 with John Peters going on about The Young Ones. As a 16yo I really got into them.

Yeah he’s the hardest, your attempt is good though. I always thought he looked older than the other guys. He was my least favourite character.

Haha yeah Mike was the first thing I noticed. I always wondered what he was doing in the show, to be honest, you could have left him out and I reckon most people wouldn’t notice.

Well the idea of Mike Thecoolperson [his actual name] kind of makes sense in terms of the group dynamic, and there’s also a theory that each person represents a decade so Mike is the 50’s, Neil is the 60’s Vyv is the 70’s and Rick is the 80’s.
