I’m told that Oktoberfest in Germany involves close to 70 million people. Our local version at a nearby ski resort, over several week-ends, will involve 60,000 – 70,000. Among this day’s participants was this dance pair about whom I know nothing. Nebulous as they were to me, they were also totally engaging. Snowbird ski resort, Salt Lake City, Utah

This is Holly our cow wearing the latest in cow accessories ~ a sprinkling of hay. lol Holly and will be a mama in the Spring. We are excited! / My husband has always loved cows and raised Holly from a bottle. She is the first to be pregnant and have a calf. Our other cows we have had to sell or chose to sell at Auction. Holly is special. Now that she is going to be a mom she gets extra special care. My husband has a brush and will brush her often. He makes sure she has a warm area to stay out of the cold. He went out today with the truck to mash down the snow so it is easier for her to get around. I think it is sweet how he loves and cares for her as most of us do with a cat or dog. Until I met my husband I never thought of cows as a lovable pets, but Holly is very lovable and sweet.
