Star Twister 13 – definitely not unlucky for some!

Star Twister is a 250 word (or less) story challenge held each week on a given prompt. Each month all the weekly winners will go into a grand monthly final which all members will vote upon. The monthly winner will receive an Amazon gift voucher to the value of US$10. Details of the monthly vote will be posted and bmailed to all members at the time. This week’s challenge is the third opportunity to qualify for the August final!

This week’s prompt, provided by last week’s Star Twister challenge champion filfil is ‘Treasured Childhood Memories”. The rest is up to you, as long as the story has a twist, of course!

A link to your story needs to be posted here in this thread by midnight Wednesday the 20th of August (BST).

Only those who have entered a story will be eligible to vote. The voting will require you to name your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. Each 1st will be awarded 5 pts, 2nd will be awarded 3 pts and 3rd will be awarded 1 point. The story with the most points will be the winner. All entrants must vote. Failure to vote will disqualify that entrant’s story from the final scores. Entrants who comment on every story will receive a bonus point towards their final score in the event of a tie.

There is no limit to the number of entries members may submit. However, entrants may only vote once and may not vote for their own entry.

The voting period for this week’s challenge begins from Midnight (BST) Wednesday 20th August to Midnight (BST) Thursday 21st August. The winner will be announced on Friday 22nd August and the new Star Twister Challenge prompt will be announced on Saturday 23rd August.

Remember stories must be no longer than 250 words, have a twist, and have the tag TTST13 for this week’s challenge. A link to your story MUST be posted in this thread.
The winning entry will become a featured story on the Group’s front page and you the writer will remain a group featured writer for the next month.

The votes are in! Everyone voted and every story was voted for! And so here are the results…..
