Taken 20.11.09 11.35am natural light from bathroom window a self portrait for the Nikon D90 challenge. Decide to add this one up as my other one i had my eye closed, that is how I take my photgraphs but seems people would like to see my eyes as well. Thank you. : ) I decided just to go for it and take one what actually turned out to be 76 in total in the end. Those that know me will be aware im never in front of the camera, poor Simon tries to photograph me when we are out photgraphing together or also catching me unaware but very few are uploaded on his sight as i say “oh No that is horriable”. So the challenge has really pushed my bounderies today and my camera knowledge, oh and that my mirrors need cleaned. : ) Nikon D90 and Nikkor 18-105mm vr lens focal length 52mm / f/. 5 / exposure 1/50th / IS0 3200 Hand Held, Apeture Priority, natural light, in my bathroom. Still poorly so a little rough round the edges, I have tweaked this slightly by a soft focus but just a little tweak did not want to take away the real me, but nice to see what processing could do.
A picture here of our Ryan Colt Piddles with a new BIG friend of his—Sampson!! They play all the time and Sampson protects Ryan from the other BIG dogs in the neighborhood! TOO CUTE!! Seen here in the park area across the street from where we are staying on the Elk River in North Alabama. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8.
WE found a wonderful inchworm on one of our little excursions here at the beach in Northern Alabama. We have been staying at the Elk River area and I have been out scooting around on my rascal and jazzy about every day. GREAT fun! This little critter just captivated us!!-GUESS what??!-We have the Marigolds here for it to inch along on-JUST like the song!! We also have miniature mums, too. This is such a pretty place! Just had to share with you!-This photo done in MDI-Chalk. Makes it “POP”, I think. Hope you like it.
Sometimes you just find the right spot to relax and reflect on things~ this is one of those times. The river, the pier just seemed to be the perfect spot for our neighbor, who is a fine person.Entered into MDI Dry Brush for embelishment and personal ambiguity. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8. Location: Elk River, Alabama Shores.

: ) But i have decided to give you just me, this is straight from camera, no editing at all UNTOUCHED, as the camera and mirror sees me at 48 years old, Nikon D90 and Nikkor 18-105vr lens focal length 105mm / exposure 1/13th / IS0 3200 Hand Held, Apeture Priority, natural light, in my bathroom. Still poorly so a little rough round the edges, but those wrinkles are all mine. remind me i have lived a life. : ) / for the first time I have wrote about how doing this made me feel, a new venture for me

Welcome to the “Art of Nursing”. This group is formed by nurses, for nurses, to encourage and promote all forms of art by nurses. We recognize that we come from a unique perspective and have much to offer the world of art.
We have seen the best in people and the worst in people. We have seen the beginning of life, and all to often, are there at the end of life. We have saved many patients and have also lost many patients. From both spectrums we have seen every thing in between.
This group is open to any nurse, active or retired, or any nursing student. The purpose is to promote learning in our art form, have challenges and create a platform for nurses to showcase their art. We also want to promote active communication between our peers in other countries, as well as interact locally when available.
Photography, digital art, any art medium is welcome here, including writing. Please limit your uploads to 2 images or writings per day to allow the members to absorb what is posted. This also allows other members the chance to have their work looked at. If the art triggers the “not fit” filter, it doesn’t belong in this group. We encourage journaling that promotes communication among our peers. The Red Bubble group rules also apply here.
We are very open to suggestions and ideas. Please contact either one of us.
