Barefoot Bowls – Social Meet Up

Sunday 1st June from 2pm at Petersham Bowling Club
77 Brighton Street Petersham (it’s close to Parramatta Rd and walking distance from buses and Petersham Train Station)

$10 p.p. if you want to play bowls otherwise its free to come and socialise.

There will be Jazz playing on the green and the Thai Restaurant is open from 4.30pm for dinner.

This is going to be an awesome afternoon of fun, photo opportunities and laughter so please express your intention to attend here so I have an idea of numbers. Could you please also say if you want to play or just attend socially? Ta!

Remember you DON’T have to be able to play bowls to attend – there will be someone there to instruct those who do want to play.

Hmmm, not usually recommended – tends to put large divets in the green!

I forgot to say I am going to give bowls a bash haha.

Last time I bowled at the “Sham as we called it in the day, it was off the long run. There was a spot of bother over putting the stumps in and the members were none too keen about me coming off the long run. However bygones be bygones, if the members have taken me off the blacklist, I’ll be there.

Well sound like it will be a great day out. Put my name down and hopefully i can make it. I havent bowled before so this will be interesting. Should be good :-)

Pencil me in Sare, have to sort out a few other things (the better halve’s father’s birthday that day – so I’ll need a day pass) but hopefully I’ll be able to head down and show you all how it’s done… or at least how to do it my way :-p
