Found this beautiful Plymouth Fury in the back of a large garage. There were a number of them there but to me this was the nicest one. I loved the 57-58 Plymouths that came out when I was overseas. First one I saw was in Athens Greece and I thought it was a Caddy. I wanted one so badly I almost put off my marriage to buy one…as it turned out maybe that was the better choice. This garage in Dothan Alabama, specializes in restoring old classic cars.
I saw this Pampas Grass among the Pine trees at a marina near Eufaula, Alabama. It was a contrast but also blended to me.
Fall sneaks into Alabama much later than the northern states.
Our name does not describe my music. Romantic love songs and songs about lost love is what we do best. Roy Orbison sings them as nobody else can..so listen very closely to Roy’s words.

We visited the Elk River area in North Alabama for the last several weeks—covers a wide expansive area. Fishing and boating were GREAT! Cooking fresh fish is wonderful in the evening! This shot was taken as friends were comming in from deeper areas on the river. It was a lot of great eating that night! Camera: Panasonic Lumix Mega O.I.S. 5X Optical Zoom DMC-LZ8.
Another nice, yet simple photo I have of a rural/country home here in Alabama that has a wonderful fence. It was so inviting to me that I capured it into a Christmas card with MDI with inserted Text. Hope you enjoy it.
Drift wood from the area we visited along the Tennessee River here in Alabama, which was creatively used to make a glass covered coffee table. Very inventive of the owner, I thought! Just had to show it off!! Camera: Panasonic Lumix Mega O.I.S. 5X Optical Zoom DMC-LZ8.
The air of Alabama is sweet and the woods are beginning to undress for the winter. November is the time.
This is one of the images I got while down here in Alabama. It is AS IS, with the text added in MSDI. Hope you enjoy the countryside. Equipment: Panasonic Lumix Mega O.I.S. 5X Optical Zoom DCM-LZ8.

Alabama Thunderstorms
A group for members who live in the great state of Alabama or were born in Alabama…or have a close connection to the state.
IMPORTANT! Photos can be of anything within reason and preferably photographed in Alabama or the subject refers to something in the state. GOOD examples are landmarks, tourist sites, schools and colleges, public events and shows, landscapes, cityscapes, beaches, lakes, rivers, parks, buildings, famous people, etc. Artworks can refer to the same things.
The idea is to showcase what Alabama has to offer in a positive way. People photos are fine IF they show something of Alabama. General photos of kids will be deleted if they don’t include something recognizable about the state. General flowers, birds, animals and sunrises or sunsets will be deleted unless they are very clearly specific to Alabama. If it could pass for just anywhere do not post it here, but find another group where it will be more appropriate to post those. Thank you.
