I know it is November, BUT my gerberas are STILL growing beautifully! We’ve been having a mild winter here in the southeastern parts of the U,S, and it is really nice to still have some flowers growing. /
A picture here of our Ryan Colt Piddles with a new BIG friend of his—Sampson!! They play all the time and Sampson protects Ryan from the other BIG dogs in the neighborhood! TOO CUTE!! Seen here in the park area across the street from where we are staying on the Elk River in North Alabama. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8.
WE found a wonderful inchworm on one of our little excursions here at the beach in Northern Alabama. We have been staying at the Elk River area and I have been out scooting around on my rascal and jazzy about every day. GREAT fun! This little critter just captivated us!!-GUESS what??!-We have the Marigolds here for it to inch along on-JUST like the song!! We also have miniature mums, too. This is such a pretty place! Just had to share with you!-This photo done in MDI-Chalk. Makes it “POP”, I think. Hope you like it.
Sometimes you just find the right spot to relax and reflect on things~ this is one of those times. The river, the pier just seemed to be the perfect spot for our neighbor, who is a fine person.Entered into MDI Dry Brush for embelishment and personal ambiguity. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8. Location: Elk River, Alabama Shores.
Captured here in North Alabama by Elk River which is a tributary of the mighty Tennessee River. Beautiful, majesticly rustic countryside. Fantastic for camping, fishing and swimming. This cabin is right on the banks of the river with all the rustic amenities that make it such a dream! I enered this into my MDI and gave it a nice dry-brush painting. Hope you enjoy it! Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8.
Life is so beautiful where we are visiting. It is like a paradise here. We love re-visiting it. This view was too great to NOT share with you. Hope you enjoy! Text Added. Camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8.
Card made from photography I did here in North Alabama—while on a visit to family.
I was riding around in my scooter while on my trip and caught this old awesome birdhouse (well used) on the side of a tree here by Elk River, Alabama. Made it into a fetching card, I think.-Just right for the Christmas Holidays.
Thank you for taking a look.

A group for members who live in the great state of Alabama or were born in Alabama…or have a close connection to the state.
IMPORTANT! Photos can be of anything within reason and preferably photographed in Alabama or the subject refers to something in the state. GOOD examples are landmarks, tourist sites, schools and colleges, public events and shows, landscapes, cityscapes, beaches, lakes, rivers, parks, buildings, famous people, etc. Artworks can refer to the same things.
The idea is to showcase what Alabama has to offer in a positive way. People photos are fine IF they show something of Alabama. General photos of kids will be deleted if they don’t include something recognizable about the state. General flowers, birds, animals and sunrises or sunsets will be deleted unless they are very clearly specific to Alabama. If it could pass for just anywhere do not post it here, but find another group where it will be more appropriate to post those. Thank you.
