Please view large / © 2009 Danilo Lejardi / Main fairy figure and her accesories were done in Cinema 4D; rest was done in Photoshop by blending layers and doing some digital painting. Main background image is RB artist jewelskings´s Fog No. 2. / Jewelskings in Redbubble / Jewelskings in Deviantart / Jewelstocks in Deviantart I felt so deeply in love with this image since the first time I saw it that couldn´t help but asking permission to jewelskings to use it here. Nevertheless, I think this image deserves much more attention _ and recognition_ by itself due to its own undeniable merits. / Thanks a lot jewelskings for letting me to work so close to this incredible image. CINEMA 4D is a commercial, cross-platform, high-end 3-D graphics application.

oil on floorboards 1993 / This painting, one of several using the ripped up floorboards of my rotting tenement flat in Dundee, was my reaction to a young boy on the news who swore to murder the men who killed his family during the Yugoslavian civil war. / I was horrified to see innocence being ripped from his heart and replaced by revenge and hatred. / Sixteen years on, I wonder how that boy has grown. Who can say if he has made a peaceful life for himself. I hope so. / The red emblem on the hat was a symbol painted on the houses that had been ‘cleansed’ by the murdering armies.

“But… but…” She stammered, “That ain’t no photograph.” “And you are, um, who to decide what a photograph is?” I wondered back. “I been there to Seal Rocks. I seen that thing during the day. It don’t look like that. Nope, don’t look that way at all. Whatcho do there?” “I… Well…” “See, you did do something… So i’ m right. Right? It ain’t no photography. See . who you trying to fool anyhow?” / . / - / . / / .
This is part of an older pencil drawing of mine, “In The Brush” where I added a few extra branches. This is not to be worn by the faint of heart. / (smile)

Governments around the world, are setting targets to phase out the use of Incandescent light bulbs, in favour of more energy-efficient fluorescent sources of lighting, effectively “sunsetting” one of the most ubiquitous inventions of the 20th century. Thomas Edison created the first commercially viable incandescent light bulb in 1879. Little did he know how much his invention would contribute to the energy crisis that dominates the 21st century!... (This is my first attempt at Digital Art, so I’d love to hear your comments, criticisms, suggestions, etc. I’ve started with a picture of a red lightbulb and used PS CS2 and most of the techniques in this tutorial for the water reflections. Unfortunately, it looks like it has since been removed) .
