22nd Feb = Pices

Pisceans are supposed to be the romantic, poetic dreamers of the zodiac – the ones who have visions and are somehow mystical…don’t be mislead by the tales of Mystery and Imagination which surround your sign, you are also someone who can deal very well with the modern world.
But about that Mystery side of you. Even if you don’t talk about it with your friends, you’re almost certainly aware that you’re what psychics call ‘sensitive’ you can pick up vibes (very handy in business as well as in your personal life). You are usually considered the most otherworldly of the zodiac, even if others don’t know that about you. Pisces does also rule music, drugs and wine.

that’s according to yahoo

Hmm… I am Pisces.

That is me to a tee…lol.

Well at least the music and wine…lol.

You are right DBA. It should be very interesting indeed! Especially for me, as I am a Sagittarius.

Hi leoni..i am also a Gemini…...and heres what it says about ‘US”..lol…I LOVE this bit…
“they are often misunderstood and unappreciated for the talents they offer to the world at large. ’ OHHHH YESSSSSSSSS lololol

In Astrology, Geminis have also gained the reputation of being the incessant talkers of the zodiac. Those Twins that don’t have the ‘gift of the gab’ are usually talented writers or have a special interest in foreign languages. In love, they look for a partner who can keep up with them mentally and physically! And, to quote Oscar Wilde, “there’s one thing worse than people talking about you, that’s people not talking about you.” Whether Geminis like it or not, people are usually “talking about them”. Together with Scorpio and Virgos, they are a sign that is often discussed, dissected and sometimes even put down by the other signs of the zodiac. Sometimes this is a subtle form of jealousy by others, because Geminis do lead very unique and unusual lives. The Gemini personality can appear mysterious or detached to others and therefore they are often misunderstood and unappreciated for the talents they offer to the world at large.

Another reason Geminis evoke so much interest is many born under this sign are multi-dimensionally talented. In money matters, some Geminis are very adept and quick at making it…and spending it too. Many Geminis are involved in international financial wheeling and dealing. They love the adventure and game playing involved in out-thinking other people. Gemini’s can be very haphazard about their financial affairs too, with many of them ending up in divorce courts mainly because their partners have become tired of living on the edge of a financial precipice.

Earth air fire and water and we’re still on the first page!

Going to be interesting to see what gets put up for the 13th position…

On that…

Is anyone familiar with the comic Platinum Grit?
Self published out of Brisbane, became a cult success, now a free webcomic. Their first story arc featured the cast of the zodiac, where Aries and Pisces bet that Aquarius couldn’t kill every everyone born under his sign in one hit. Funny funny stuff unless you’re an Aquarius (and I’ve got the first 9 issues, and a couple of hand written letters from the creators, wooo!).

Just jogging along some ideas ;)

NEED MORE IDEAS…......lol PLEASE…....

I’m Leo!, i’ll see what i can rustle up!

Damian Damian 573 posts

Need more ideas, huh? LOL!

I’d say think laterally on the theme. While stories straight up about a star sign will be cool, you may have a hard time thinking of a story. But here’s the first things that I can think of.
Personify the zodiac, and hijinks ensue.
A mystery set on a vessel with a zodiac sign name?
A serial killer that uses a zodiac sign as a calling card?
Pet name?
The code name of a new piece of technology?
The alias used in a covert love affair?

Actually, that wasn’t too hard, and you can see that any setting or topic or style of writing could be used. Just think a bit laterally…

Lehane Lehane 104 posts

Or some other ideas:

- Cold war espionage using a newspaper horoscope as coded messages
- A tale of sex, drugs and rock n roll of a band called The Zodiacs
- A serial killer who kills a different victim in order of their star signs
- A horoscope writer who makes up the daily stars but suddenly starts predicting things accurately
- A band of superheroes named after the star signs (and utilising the individual power of each) and are collectively known a The Zodiacs

Or another tip to generate a story, pick three random horoscope readings tomorrow and try and piece the predictions together in a story?

As for what I will be coming up with…you’ll just have to wait for now!

Empress Empress 561 posts

Hmmm.
I’m Aquarius, air sign despite the water symbol, and towards the firey end, too.

Anyone remember the second Catweazle series?
(if you want both on dvd and you’re in Australia …jbhifionline ... also have Hogfather & Neverwhere)

Pagly2 Pagly2 31 posts

Thank you Damian…( I think.!!.lol) now you really are asking a lot from me..i can think Vertically which I prefer to do…or I can think Horizontally…...which I prefer not to do.(otherwise mind wanders..?) Laterally OHH MY…..I fall over when I go sideways….???........OK I shall ‘give it a go’... lol

Paul Rees-Jones Paul Rees-Jones 99 posts

Well here is a quick one.

hello
I have been reading up on the zodiac, and found quite a few interesting facts in the wikipedia section under astrological signs. The information is in:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/astrological_sign. If anything my curiosity has been fired up with this competition, although I do not know yet where to start in my writing.
By the way I am a Libra, the scales of balance
thanks
