This is basically about mistrust. / Cause, isn´t mistrust a way of being in war with someone else? / I took the inspiration for this image from Carole King´s “Being At War With Each Other” amazing composition. / Here´s the link to Carole´s original recording of this song. / And here´s the link to Barbra Streisand´s version. Main lyrics go this way: / “Everyone comes from one father, one mother / So why do we complicate our lives so much / By being at war with each other Maybe I’m crazy but I don’t understand it / Why do we seem to vote to dig more holes / It’s such a waste of planet There must be a reason that I can’t see / Maybe somebody else knows better than me All I know is everyone else is a sister or a brother / So we’ve got to look around again and stop / Being at war with each other / Being at war with each other We’ve got to look around again and stop / Being at war with each other.” Basic image is a cinema4D render; it took just a bit of postwork to complete it.

Copyright DaniloLejardi 2009 / (Please view large) / I guess most of you probably know or have read about Penelope, the faithful wife of Odysseus, who keeps her suitors at bay in his long absence, and that her name has always been associated with faithfulness. And Time. / Well, I decided to recreate this character once more by thinking of Helene Ruiz. Why? Well, because you probably know that one of the recurrent elements in her works is Time _ if it´s not her main theme. Just take a look at her gallery. / So this is my very personal tribute to one of the greatest artists in town. / This is also a tribute to one of my favorite Spanish singer/composers of all times: Joan Manuel Serrat. One of his most known musical compositions is Penelope, precisely; the story of a woman who spent all her life waiting her lover to come back. Though in this case, her lover returned, but he was so old that she couldn´t recognize him, and then she forever continued to wait for the love of her youth. Here is a videoclip of singer Diego Torres singing Serrat´s Penelope. / Here are the lyrics of Serrat´s Penelope ( In Spanish): “Penélope, / Con su bolso de piel marrón, / Sus zapatos de tacón / Y su vestido de domingo. His visions are nothing less than tantilising, in every sense of the aesthetic.
Sumptuous colours, deep contrast, delicacy in detail.
Cliff displays a vast array of techniques demonstrating a finely tuned skill base. The medium is lost in the dreamscape that seduces the viewer and leads your mind to contemplate anything but the ‘every day’.
His use of light is the first thing that wins me over, well placed, well thought through, illuminating, not flat, not dull but bringing life to his work and setting it apart in a signature style that is truely ‘Vestergaard’

Objects that any other person would walk past would have James lining up through his viewfinder. Tins, lights, windows, eyes, a mouth, a mailbox, a wall, a flower, a door, the letter ‘O’ all has a place in the photographic mind of Mr Birkbeck.
His eye for perspective is what takes the viewer to begin to see the cool in a can.
James is the kind of guy I would love to walk around the block with, lol (before coffee)
