We found a Poppy field the other day – we managed to get a little lost and we stopped for a look at the map and escaped the confines of the car to profit a little from the scenery and of course the Poppies….unfortunately most of them had finished flowering but I still found that the Poppy seed heads and the last remaining Poppies looked just as pretty. Featured in Selective Colour 7 November ‘09 / placed 5th in the Armistice Day – A Challenge of Remembrance Nov 3 ‘09 Canon eos 400d / F/18 / 1/2500 seconds / ISO 1600 / FL 300mm / Hand Held
I couldn’t resist this shot when I came into my son’s room to find that he had turned himself round in his cot and stuck his feet through the bars. With his stripey romper suit and his toy zebra hanging from the cot they looked like a pair of prison inmates in their cell!!
This is a young porter on the Everest trek carrying supplies to a guest house. We were over 13,000 feet here (over 4.000 meters). It was amazing to see what the porters and Sherpas could carry on their backs while often wearing flip flops or broken down tennis shoes.

This image, a mixture of photography and digital painting, features the face of the young girl in “Stepping Stones,” a marble sculpture created by William Hamo Thornycroft in 1878, and which is now located in the Kibble Palace, part of The Botanic Gardens in Glasgow, Scotland, UK, Europe. The girl is in the process of carrying an infant across a brook, thus the intent look on her face. It just so happened that a spider came along just as the photoraph was being taken. I’ve taken the liberty of painting on bright red lips.
Nikon D80 / Lens 28-80 This is a first for me so I hope you enjoy.
Wedding at St Luke’s Church, West Norwood, London. 7th Nov 2009. / Bethany was a bridesmaid at Steph’s Wedding. I was intrigued to see her running up and down with such intense concentration upon her face. When I got home a looked at this one she appeared to be floating. Marvellous what kids {Angels} can do:-) LOL. Camera Nikon D700 with 24-120mm Lense. /
