Shot near Point Hallswell, Wellington Harbour at dawn, the light was superb, I’d gone to shoot sunrise on the coast and the weather was nasty, came back into the harbour and got this light, sunrise is straight through those clouds, the effect is like soft Paua shell, what the image doesn’t is that if I turned the right it would have been soaked by sea spray in the wind. Shot on a Nikon D700, Nikkor 17-35mm Lens f2.8

This word is Zulu for “I see You”, roughly translating like Namaste’ – meaning that I acknowledge the spirit that resides within you. / My husband carved it into a favorite tree piece while I was away on a spiritual journey.
