This is the second image in the Zodiac series especially created for the amazing Gal Lo Leggio For others in this series ARIES / PISCES / LIBRA / LEO / TAURUS Cancer June 22 to July 22 The Cancerian character is the least clear-cut of all those associated with the signs of the zodiac. It can range from the timid, dull, shy and withdrawn to the most brilliant, and famous Cancerians are to be found through the whole range of human activity. It is a fundamentally conservative and home-loving nature, appreciating the nest like quality of a secure base to which the male can retire when he needs a respite from the stresses of life, and in which the Cancerian woman can exercise her strong maternal instincts. The latter tends to like and to have a large family. `Nest like’ is an appropriate adjective for the Cancerian home, for its inhabitants tend to favor the dark, mysterious but comfortable type of house which has something of the air of a den about it, a place which belongs to the family rather than existing as a showcase to impress visitors. / That is not to say that the Cancerian is unsociable, just that for them there is a time to socialize and a time to be solitary, and this is part of the apparent contradiction in their nature. December 22 to January 20 Traditional / Capricorn Traits Practical and prudent / Ambitious and disciplined / Patient and careful / Humorous and reserved On the dark side…. Pessimistic and fatalistic / Miserly and grudging Capricorn is one of the most stable and (mostly) serious of the zodiacal types. These independent, rocklike characters have many sterling qualities. They are normally confident, strong willed and calm. These hardworking, unemotional, shrewd, practical, responsible, persevering, and cautious to the extreme persons, are capable of persisting for as long as is necessary to accomplish a goal they have set for themselves. They are reliable workers in almost any profession they undertake. They are the major finishers of most projects started by the ‘pioneering’ signs; with firm stick-to-it-ness they quickly become the backbone of any company they work for. Capricornians make of themselves, resourceful, determined managers; setting high standards for themselves and others. They strive always for honesty in their criticism of self, they respect discipline from above and demand it from those beneath them. In their methodical, tough, stubborn, unyielding way, they persist against personal hardship, putting their families and/or their work before their own needs and welfare to reach their objectives long after others have given up and fallen by the wayside. They can be economists, financiers, bankers, speculators, contractors, managers and real estate brokers. They are excellent teachers, especially as principals of educational establishments where they have the authority to manage and organize without too much intimacy with the staff members. If working with their hands, they can become practical scientists, engineers, farmers and builders. The wit and flippancy which is characteristic of certain Capricornians may make some turn to entertainment as a career.

She is carrying a sword, and we do not know what she is planning do do with this. Are the lambs sacrificial, or not? Pisces, mystical and magical, is the sign of rebirth, eternity and reincarnation. Pisceans are ruled by Neptune, the planet of mystery and this sense of the other-worldliness, can dominate their thinking. They are artistic and creative, and love to dream. They are empathic, kind and compassionate, but their need to swim in both directions at once can mean that the sometimes loose their way. Here, Leo, the Sea Lion, keeps the girls quite safe as they travel on their adventures. I first created several layers of different colours of blues and greens, blended these togetherl and applied gradients. I then overlaid these with the underwater rocks. The mermaids were morphed from the upper part of the girls bodies, with fish tails. Several layers were created for these, and blurred and overlaid to give the effect of movement. The sea lioness was morphed from a lioness’ head with a sea lion’s body and watery effects subsequently painted. The fish, the wreck and the mystical sea horses and sea dragon were added. For the bubbles, I created a bubble brush and applied using different opacities. The rays of sunlight light were added later and colour merged into the whole. I started with the beautiful background of trees, and overlaid this with several layers of textures and colour. Appropriately enough, Cancerians can seem easygoing, sympathetic, and patient one minute, then cranky and irritable the next. Because of this ability to make a sudden change, Cancer is the least predictable of all signs. They are ruled by the moon and have water as their element, so their mood swings can be compared to the turbulence of the shifting tides. If they feel they need to, they will retreat to their own emotional shell to keep others out. However, Cancerians can be very sympathetic to others and readily show their affection. Cancerians are also very emotional and sensitive, which may be why they are so empathetic towards others. Cancerians need a lot of attention due to their unpredictable character, but if you give them the support they need, they will offer you their undying loyalty and love. Once you have won their trust, nothing anyone else can say will sway them against you. Cancerians are very intuitive, almost to the point of being psychic. Taurus and his love, Aida, have journeyed across many worlds to return Aida to her homeland, and to pay homage to Leo, the Lion Queen. On their travels, they have met many new friends and animals, the like of which they had never seen before. It was an arduous journey, but worth all the trials and tribulations for when they finally saw the Lion Queen, they knew they had arrived. They gave thanks. The Walls are from my own stock. All the animals and Libra herself, were cut out and saved, and then added to the background. Multiple copies of each one were layered and blended in using a whole host of blending modes. Libra is the only inanimate sign of the zodiac, all the others representing either humans or animals. Many modern astrologers regard it as the most desirable of zodiacal types because it represents the zenith of the year, the high point of the seasons, when the harvest of all the hard work of the spring is reaped. There is a mellowness and sense of relaxation in the air as mankind enjoys the last of the summer sun and the fruits of his toil. Librans too are among the most civilized of the twelve zodiacal characters and are often good looking. They have elegance, charm and good taste, are naturally kind, very gentle, and lovers of beauty, harmony (both in music and social living) and the pleasures that these bring. They like the opposite sex to the extent of promiscuity sometimes, and may indulge in romanticism bordering on sentimentality. Their marriages, however, stand a good chance of success because they are frequently the union of “true minds”. The Libran’s continuing kindness toward his or her partner mollifies any hurt the latter may feel if the two have had a tiff. Nor can the Libran’s spouse often complain that he or she is not understood, for the Libran is usually the most empathetic of all the zodiacal types and the most ready to tolerate the beloved’s failings.
