This is from a series I produced a few years ago in my homemade, primitive yet functional darkroom. Sadly, my enlarger now lives in the bottom of a cupboard :(

Grevy’s zebra abstract closeup, captive animal.
This was taken in an art museum in Chicago. I would love to shoot more of this kind of thing in the future. (In this one, all I did was invert the center panel.)

This stencil was created in early 2008 inspired by fashion photography and damp cold London. Recently cut stencil with one layer from an older stencil of a zebra in pink on her dress, with hand drawn cobbled stones. The canvas itself is 3 times in length this is just a mere snap shot of the original piece. This piece is 1 of 3, utilising the same same stencil and composition of works I’ve posted on Red Bubble at the moment. The other is ‘snow and umbrella’ and ‘rain birds’
isn’t he cute? Other Categories / Animals / Apes / Architecture / Baby Animals / Bears / Birds / Big Cats / Elephants / Fish / Insects / Macro / Nature / Reptiles
Oil painting of zebra stallions fighting for dominance over mares. Best viewed ‘large’. The original painting is 30×40 inches on blocked canvas and took just over 2 months to paint. The painting is mounted in a huge 1×1.25 metre frame.
