One of a series of cards delving in to the inner psyche of a lonely lil’ snowman named Flake. Here we try to empathise what it is like for him when it snows. For fully moving versions with sound n everyfin…pushing the boundaries of digital animation to da max at www.snowmanflake.com.
Ever thought what it’s really like to be made of snow when it’s snowing?
He kinda thought this moment would be more spiritual

Another in my Christmas/Holiday card series. This one was a lot of fun, I have to share with you how it came about. The lovely blue spruce tree is in my front garden, it’s huge, and last Christmas after the BIG snow we had on Christmas Eve, I ran out for a second and shot a few pics of the lovely blue sky and the tree with tons of snow on its blue-green branches. Then, I took a shot of a furry toy animal I have and just zoomed in on the long fur, using Fractalius to make it look like long strands of blowing snow…this was all juxtaposed together, and voila! Ain’t Photoshop fun? Heehee… ;-)
One of my favourites to date. No Christmas collection would be complete without the reason… / Probably will do a few more Christmas collection cards… this one is a Fractalius background I created with some beautiful leaves, and the cross is made up of copies of my red lily bloom, and there’s always a little help from the angels… ;-)

It’s that transitional time of year, when warm days fade into cool evening and colder dawns. The last leaves glow softly on tree branches, as the woods sink into their yearly sleep … waking only for the bright celebration of Yuletide and the sun’s Solstice return. This is a collage made of cut and layered paper with my own sketch of a tree scene that I saw in a waking dream. Enjoy.
Merry Christmas

Snowflake (music link/lyrics) Hey-ey-ey snowflake / My pretty little snowflake / Ooh, ooh, the change in the weather / Has made it better for me. / Hey-ey-ey snowflake, my pretty little snowflake / You’ve got me warm as a fire / With the burning desire for you. Snow was falling when love came calling / On this lonely heart of mine. / You were standing there with snow flaked in your hair. / You kept stalling while my thoughts were calling / On every way I knew / For one excuse to get acquainted with you Then I said / Snow flake my pretty little snowflake / Ooh, ooh, the change in the weather / Has made it better for me. / Hey-ey-ey snowflake, my pretty little snowflake / You’ve got me warm as a fire / With the burning desire for you. The ice was breaking and / Love was waking in a winter wonderland. / When I felt you slip your fingers in my hand. / Now snow is gleaming and / I’m not dreaming I know this is for real. / The love I have is too much to conceal. Hey-ey-ey snowflake / My pretty little snowflake / Ooh, ooh, the change in the weather / has made it better for me. / Hey-ey-ey snowflake, my pretty little snowflake / You’ve got me warm as a fire / With the burning desire for you… Fractal Kaleidoscope done in Sterling2 with post work in PaintShopPro and Gimp. Another edition to the Christmas card series.
Rough water colour/acrylic/aquarel sketch. Kaname 2009 (1500 views to date).
An acrylic painting on canvas paper of what I would like an Australian landscape to look like at Christmas time. As a young girl growing up in the UK our Christmases were always White, here in Australia they are always sunny and hot! Sending you greetings from Australia for the festive season! White Christmas Christmas Eve we were all aglow / with the heat of the sun there was no snow. / At the end of the day Santa would be on his way / with toys and gifts piled in his sleigh! / I wish he could give us a snow surprise / As we turned out the lights we peeked outside. / To our delight a winter wonderland we saw, / a White Chistmas we will have who could ask for more! Linda
