I created the “Distorted Life” series as part of my Visual Arts Body of Work. Made mainly using Arcsoft PhotoImpression (because I didn’t realise you could get an application like GIMP for free! :P) it consists of two photographs of myself and the cup. (In other words, I wasn’t really in the cup :P)

This quilt is over 100 years old. I have it hanging in my bedroom. I have the quilt hanging with a photo that I took of my 95 mother-in-law while she was mending the quilt. Some of the threads were breaking and she wanted to repair it herself. You see, the quilt was made by her mother before she (my mother-in-law) was born. She said her mother wanted her to take it, however she declined because she had small children. It was kept by my husband’s late aunt. When Aunt Dorothy passed away we found the quilt in a very old box up on a shelf with a note that said “Handmade with love. I pray this quilt will bring happiness to all who view it. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow has not arrived yet, I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it and hope you do the same.” Canon 30D slr
