  Sorry I have been so quiet lately, first I lost my internet and was only able to get on once in a while through a borrowed connection. With the limited time online and the fact that it was a 24 kbps connection, needless to say I didn’t get much done at all. / But now I finally WOOO HOOO have high speed internet via satellite! / I am so happy about that, cable and dsl aren’t available this far out in the boonies so this was my only choice. / Anyway I will be around a lot more often and hope to get caught up with all your gorgeous works of art. I also wanted to send out several big hearty thank yous for the cards and t-shirts that have been purchased in the past couple months. You are all such beautiful supportive people. / Hugs / Rain

  California Sound deserves a big THANK YOU for featuring my photograph of “city nitescape”. Thanks peeps! / ___________ / Another big thank you is in order for the featuring of my photograph “Jimmy lounging” in the Cat Love group. I’m always truly appreciative of the recognition of a piece of mine and that one was cool to have featured for two reasons. First, my guide owns Jimmy (or the other way around…) and she’s proud of his new-found fame in Red Bubble. And the other reason will be shown in a rather funny picture a bit later: Jimmy can see and recognize himself in this picture on my laptop! He doesn’t see himself on the desktop’s monitor, prints, the TV (showing his pictures), or mirrors. But he was fascinated by his own furry good looks while he was lounging, as usual. :D I got a couple shots of him looking quite interested with himself and he stayed that way until I moved the laptop! LOL! So, he’s going to get to see himself on the feature section of Cat Love! I’ll be sure and get a better shot of him looking at it and purring. :) Thanks again members & hosts of the coolest cat group in da Bubble. :-D __________ / Woo hoo! Yet another featured piece: “sharing secrets (abstract)” was featured in the group Photography 101 a day ago. Another image I’m proud of after some adversity but having it recognized as a nice piece makes EVERYTHING worth while. Thank you very much, Photography 101 moderators and members! Sincerely, / Lenny La Rue, IPA ___________ / The below is what this entry was originally about – being a featured artist in Seachanges – and I am still extremely grateful to the Seachanges group. But I’m also not one to toot my own horn or ignore those who have honoured me. So this entry has been changed into a collective set of my features and hopefully I won’t have a large amount of egg on my face for never being featured again. LMAO!!!! The only way people will see these updates is in the forums of the individual groups who bless me with such cool recognition (and allow forum posts of journal entries) so I won’t feel like a big ass for bragging, nor an ungrateful pud for not mentioning the kindness of a group and it’s moderation staff. The really interesting thing for my first two features is that it’s the same image that got featured in two different groups that prompted this amended entry! This time it’s from the “Sunrise, sunsets” group and once again I am deeply honoured to be recognized as a featured artist there this week. I’m very happy with the piece and it seems a few others are happy with it too. :-D OK, I hope to be updating this sometime this year so pas the word that some sorry sap is looking for more features so he won’t look like an omelet with a moustache… / ___________ / This is my first featured art! I thank Seachanges for the recognition of ‘Big Sur Sunset 1’. Since it’s one I’m actually very proud of and not a goof piece, it means a lot to me to have it seen as worthy of featuring.   I went for a walk on the beach to smoke my cigar and saw many shells washed upon shore after the storm. Found this very large oyster shell. It was wide open.. enough so I could put the cigar in there. It was time to stop smoking this cigar.. as the end can get nasty.. well it also depends what kind of cigar.. this cigar I didn’t like.. but this clam did… Mr. Big Oyster was telling all the small clams to LISTEN UP!.. Ya see.. there is a new Oyster in Town.. don’t be bad.. or we will feed you to the seagulls. / ......how about / Hello… my name is Oliver the Oyster.. yeAH. YEah.. you found me… ok. .so what.. ya want yer wishes? Sorry,,, one wish per cigar… Uknow.. union rules. So what is your wish? Thankyou for the feature THAT”S FUNNY group =)

  Once again….

  Once again.. SO SO SO SORRY to everyone for my SO SO SO late comments on your wonderful wonderful works!! i’ve been busy these days.. i’ll be doing some crazy stunts of climbing ladders and singing at the top of my lungs while scrubbing the ceilings and walls of my house.. i scratched my skin on my finger somehow and it’s annoying me when i have to click the mouse.. grrrr… so basically in the day, i’ll be sweating it out like a pig to clean my house.. and at night, i’ll try my best to fav and catch up with all of you!! am so so sorry i’ve been so quiet, time haven’t been on my side these days.. am feeling annoyed that i haven’t been uploading any new design too.. it’s like Tim kept feeding me ideas and i have to store them and they’re piling up inside my head and i can’t pour them out yet.. aaaiiieeee!!!!   First, my new “finds” from the last couple of weeks: / carolsuzanne does wonderful and colorful paintings in American Southwest style – her animals especially are lively and fun. / Vaggelis Ntousakis is a wonderful digital artist. I am very picky about art done entirely in the computer, and I love his work. / Pat Saunders-White is another painter who does some really interesting work. I love her crows. / Steve Allsopp takes wonderful black and white images – lots of landscapes. I was especially struck by this fun piece (not a landscape :-p). / And, of course, like the rest of Red Bubble, I have been blown away by Matthew Dunn. Just go look. A couple things for me to be grateful for: / “Blue Hydrant” was chosen to be a challenge avatar. Cool challenge – check it out. / / “Tongue Tip” came in top ten in a kitty macro challenge / / Features: / “Uncomfortable Silence” in Challenge Weekly / / “Frog Pond” in Statues and Such / / “Cables” in Techno Logical / / “Chick Chick Chick” was featured and also placed in the top ten of a challenge for Printers and Printmaking / / “Dahlia 4” in Globes, Spheres and Curves / / “Holding Hands” in Statues and Such / / Last but not least, “Parking Lot Triptych” in Urban Art / I like the way this looks framed. / I think that’s it!
