Ok you lot now this is a waterfall :O) Didn’t Trudi capture it well? :O) / I tell you the climb down to this is stunning in itself – used to be a real climb down rocks and mud now they have put in steps and walks [for the pansies!] to save the sides from eroding! The worst part is the climb back up! <) Chookas! XX♥XX

  • A Tourist in York

Yet more playing at being a tourist. I was born in and grew up in York and, given that my parents still live there, I get back there two or three times a year. When we go do, because we’ve got a child, we try and do something while we’re there and, often, this ends up in us doing something vaguely touristy (which always feels odd to me). Last weekend we went on one such visit and, for want of anything better to do, we went to visit the National Railway Museum. Annoyingly I sort of took the wrong camera with me. I took my Canon PowerShot G9 instead of my Canon EOS 400D. I’d have been better off with the latter because the light in the museum is terrible and the G9 is horribly noisy at high ISOs (and I hate to use the flash unless I really must). Still, I came away with a small set of images that I’m happy enough with.

I have just noticed that one of my Brimham Rocks photo’s is featured in the Yorkshire Grit group! / Thank you for this! Makes me proud to be (almost) from Yorkshire (well I’ve lived here long enough!) / Getting excited now, as it’s fast approaching time to put in an official application for University, so hopefully there will be more Yorkshire to come!! / Goose
