A rainbow butterfly breaks out. Freedom at last. Just a colorful fun design for a t-shirt. A little different than slaying the dragon, but this design supports finding a cure for leiomyosarcoma too. All proceeds go to LMS research for cure. Enjoy!

Another tulip fields photo taken during the annual tulip festival in April, in the Skagit Valley of Northern Washington. There is such a passion to be able to capture these flowers in their full color in a photo and with only one or two months, based on the weather to do it in. I feel so fortunate to be able to take advantage of the closeness of where I live and yet I do not always get the opportunatey to shoot them. This particular photo was so blinding in color I softened the edges to help tone it down.

October page for China Signs Calendar Modern day tourists do not have to endure the many days of horrendous climbing, faced by earlier visitors to these beautiful Huang Shan mountains. Instead they simply need to be brave enough to climb into the cable-car that rises almost vertically upwards, along huge cables that disappear into the clouds above. During the trip I was wide-eyed and photographing furiously, but turned around at times to witness many other passengers with eyes tightly closed, clinging onto their loved ones as if for the last time. Certainly worth the trip, however!
