I don’t think I have shared with you all, the story of Sparkle… Nearly 14 years ago, I decided I wanted to find a cat for my daughter. I decided to go to a refuge instead of a pet store. I found a refuge and went, and when I got there, there were older cats and very young kittens, and I felt it important not to have older or too young, I was about to leave when a kitten started climbing a cage. I took one look at him and knew straight away he was to come home with us. At the time I noticed how bright his eyes were and thought at the time, I might call him Sparkle, although I was going to leave it to my daughter to name him. When I was paying to take him home, the refuge owner had said that he had come from a litter of kittens that had been dumped at the tip. I was appalled, apparently some had died. So of course I was glad I was giving this little fellow a home. I got home, and my daughter was over the moon, she was only around 3 at the time. She said straight away to me, we have to call him Sparkle, well that was a meant to be :) Nearly 14 years down the track, it is obvious to me how grateful he is compared to the cats I have had from pet shops, he is loyal and the most affectionate and beautiful cat I have ever known. ””“Oh by the way, notice that he has no fangs at the top anymore .. signs of age hey :)”””“
I reckon someone needs an early night! ;-) We saw this handsome fella at the “Zoo de la palmyre” in Royan. It has over 1600 animals, and is one of the biggest Zoos in europe. Its a really amazing place, and definatly great for camera-happy people! / This was taken with a Kodak EasyShare Z700
