I was lucky enough to be able to interview the incredibly talented Yanmos ( Yannis ) who has turned out some of the most amazing activism designs here on the Bubble , if you take a look at the Most Popular Clothing of all time tab , you’ll be sure to see many of his amazing designs ! Please check out this interview ,and if you haven’t already , take a look at this talented artist’s gallery , you won’t be disappointed . How does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? I think most other activities in my life affect my creativity really & not creativity affecting my real life. I used to be a restive spirit from my early youth, for almost 10 years now I’m involved in some activism organization like greenpeace & actionaid(god-parent) & I like to do things for the public benefit. These things usually affect my creativity & “burn” my mind. To tell the truth after finishing my design school in 1991 here in Greece & Copenhagen in Denmark, I started to work in the Greek ministry of culture as designer & most of my creativity going there, in milimeter blocs with a lot of ancient drawings until November of 2006. I always remember wearing nice t-shirts(my favorite garment) with very nice designs & a lot of cool slogans. I remember a white shirt that said : “Absent Without Life” this was my favorite(bought in 1989). So back in November of 2006 I started to work in illustration first & other similar programs later, knowing nothing of graphic design, I spent a long time collecting tutorials from the internet & working in front of my pc for hours & hours, I started to draw my first design and here i am now. Tell us about one person or moment that has made your time on redbubble particularly special or meaningful Well i can’t name only one person because i have a lot of friends here & it will be unfair for some of them, but i remember the day that I found redbubble and fell in love with it. I made a short tour of the site & started immediately uploading some of my work knowing nobody here. After 2 or 3 uploadings I realized that my “think green live green” design was featured on the clothing bracket(still not knowing what that was ) & starting to get a lot of beautiful & very encouraging comments. A big smile appeared on my face, it was the day that i started making friends here! Show & tell us about five works on redbubble that have moved or inspired you I ‘ll begin with a friend that I have had here for a long time. Her name is Kimberly Hoffard! / “Insomniac” / Hi Kimb :) The great Lyudmila! / “Snake woman” / No words for this man, Ronald Wigman! / “Burn Out” / Arteology is one of the greatest artists for me! / “Tree Be Me” And finally rubyred, last but not least! / “Winds Of Change” Love all his work ! Thanks Yannis for your time and a great interview !

  • Every day the sun rises and with it a new day. There is never a day without the sun though it may be hidden from us at times. And so it is with life, we have our sunny days when we smile for no reason at all … and days when the sun seems to forget to shine for us. I want everyone to remember that there is nothing that we cannot handle, nothing we cannot solve, nothing we do not know, because all our strength and knowledge is inside us. We already have the answers in us. Somewhere in our cells is the knowledge of creation and a love for life that spans eternity! Please watch the sun come up as you listen to the incredible Yanni as he performs A LOVE FOR LIFE Even if you think you do not like Yanni, this may change your mind. Give it a try

  • The gazebo shines and reflects like a mirror in the water. Such a lovely peaceful place to listen to the soothing sounds of Yanni. In The Mirror by Yanni – Have a listen

  • This was taken straight after a particularly nasty storm at Mornington Harbour – This isolated child was more intent on fosiking in the sand rather than be caught up in the devastation. A dust storm also blew in from the west.

  • Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops Truncatus). Photographed in their natural environment in Port Phillip Bay Australia.

  • I just recently discovered this pic amongst some fire photos that I took a few years ago for the local paper in my area. I never noticed it until now. I guess with all the fire stories around Australia at the moment, I’ve become more aware of natures fury. I think it looks like a man made of fire walking through the bush. I swear I haven’t photoshopped any part of this image apart from contrast correction. Freaky.

  • Australians love their game of cricket but unfortunately photographing the sport can become fairly dull and tedious. However, if one is patient and vigilant then one can be rewarded with the odd once in a million moment. This was a local game of cricket and I had already been there an hour before this event woke me up.

  • A native Australian dog or Dingo.

  • This was taken in Port Phillip Bay Australia, somewhere near Sorrento. The dolphins were bowriding the local passenger ferry and I was in a small red rubber zodiac yelling at the driver to “get closer, get closer !” Sorry about that ….

  • Dawn service ANZAC day in Australia.

  • This is a cloud lit up by sheet lightning.

  • Yanni’s words about GREATNESS: I remember when I was young, my father would take me for these long walks up in the Greek mountains. And during those times he would try to teach me about life. He was always trying to teach us, Simplicity and Appreciate for Nature. And he liked to say that the best thing in life are available to everyone, like Truth, Imagination, Creativity, Love, Kindness, Compassion. So you see Greatness has nothing to do with success, money or possessions. This music celebrates the greatness that is inherit in all of us.

  • I saw this beautiful creature through a reptile park window at Ballarat Australia. He was obviously oblivious to the entire world – what a way to be. What was he thinking or dreaming?

  • Incendia / May 18, 2009 Music: / Yanni-Rainmaker

  • Um… I have no rational explanation for this, really. Please view larger. It’s hard to read. : )

  • Yanni is one of the MANY characters from my book(W.I.P). / As lovely as she is, she’ll have your fingers if you put them too close. Yanni© Me / Tools: Photoshop, Wacom Bamboo. / Time: 12+ hours

  • This is the bow of an old ship used now as a tourist attraction at a place called Flagstaff Hill in Warnambool Australia.

  • It’s been a long time between drinks for good storms over Port Phillip Bay. It was like a small camera club up there on Arthur’s Seat on Friday 30th October 2009. Rob Mullner was there capturing his amazing images. There was even a couple learning how to use a digital slr and they were getting good shots too.

  • This is another lightning pic from 2nd November 2009. This time looking up the west coast of victoria, along Bass Strait from Cape Schanck.

  • A snake handler / removalist was getting ready to relocate this fella – so I stopped by and got some shots first.

  • This was taken many years ago from atop Arthur’s Seat Australia. I used a domestic film in an old Pentax SLR (screw mount). This cloud was very big and came across Port Phillip Bay very quickly. Unfortunately the film has scratched over the years so the quality isn’t that good – but it’s a good record of a big storm cloud.

  • This was taken Friday night 27th November 2009 at Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula Australia. The storm came from the west. It soon enveloped the area and I had to seek shelter both from the torrential rain and from the fairly scary lightning.

  • achieving the Goal, by linking and aligning dreams with desire… I haven’t got a clue what the lyrics in this vid say specifically, but I have a pretty good feeling for the message…maybe you will too… / Yanni & Ender Thomas (Yanni voices) ...”Desire”... / Apophysis 2.07 / 7000×7000pixels ~ use large view, please ~ thanks for the look and listen, my friends Serious Fun Studios ~ fractal art images and photography Fractal Art Prints & Products by SBricker @ Zazzle fractal art by SBricker @ devientART Scott Bricker at Fine Art America Scott Bricker’s art at Art Wanted.com
