  • Smiths Beach, Yallingup, Western Australia Down on the beach on a beautiful winter’s afternoon. Fellow photographer mates were shooting the light and action :) For enquires about canvas prints, or photographic prints larger than Redbubble options, please contact me via bubblemail

  • Shot in the south-west of Western Australia. I seriously love the work of Peter Dombrovski, best known for his incredible landscapes in the Tasmanian wilderness (some instrumental in preventing the damming of the Franklin River). He also did some close-up work, and here, I’ve made some attempt to convey nature the way he did. I’ve got a very long way to go!!!! This is just a tiny section of rock at Canal Rocks, but for the little seacreatures pottering in these waterholes, it’s probably like an enormous gorge. • This sunset was spectacular. Looking out over canal rocks near yallingup in W.A. on new years night. Yallingup is in the south west of W.A. near Margaret River and only an hour and a half from Bunbury. Yallingup and the coast line down there is popular with all the surfers.

  • My first visit to this area yielded this amazing sunset. I would love to go back one day to investigate other compositions. Shot taken in February 2008.

  • Autumn fronts whip up some big breakers out west. A big dark one at Margaret River, WA.

  • We are still on the Cape to Cape walking track as we look behind us at Yallingup Beach, the nursery for most of our state’s top surfers and one of our very favourite places. This is on the Indian Ocean coast some 320kms south west of Perth, Western Australia. I might add that the ocean is usually far more active than it is in this picture. This is all part of the Leeuwin/Naturaliste National Park.

  • Taken just after sunset at Canal Rocks, Western Australia.

  • Smith’s Beach near Dunsborough….........

  • At the carpark of Canal Rocks, near Dunsborugh in Western Australia, walk upwards away from the beach (towards the toilet block) then branch slightly away from the path to the right – there you will see this view. Once you have filled your eye with the water crashing on the rocks, wander back down and follow the path arround to across the little narrow wooden bridge and see the actual Canal Rocks at their best. • It’s hard to believe from this photo but Yallingup beach is one of our state’s top surfing spots and the nursery for all wannabee surfies. Normally the surf is spectacular but word obviously got out that I was coming with camera in hand and the elements closed shop against me! / We are something like 330 kms south of Perth on the Indian Ocean just south of Cape Naturaliste. To live here costs an arm and a leg but it is slightly cheaper to holiday in the area which, in fact, is what we were doing (we got a special – 4 nights for the price of 2!

  • Description: Canal Rocks – where the swell rolls in through this incredible rock formation. A wonderful place from Mother Nature. / Where: Yallingup, South West / Western Australia / When: April 09 / How: 3.5 second exposure / ND filter / ND Grad / Camera: Canon 40D / raw processed with Lightroom2. /

  • This shot was taken before the sun came up.. I went to check out the sunrise, but a storm had blown in and there was very little colour other than blue on the eastern facing coast.. so I headed over to the west coast and took some photos at Sugar Loaf Rock.. I’m very happy I did as I just love this shot! These were the actual colours captured by the camera, I haven’t photoshoped the colours at all, I’ve just adjusted the white balance down somewhat in order to exaggerate the blue that was already there.. love this shot! 3 minute exposure @ f10, ISO100 / ND400 + ND8 + ND4Grad All comments appreciated Paul Pichugin / http://www.paulmp.com.au

  • waves crashing in at Yallingup Western Australia. canon 450D
