Painted in olis on canvas applied to masonit / The background was hand painted, as with water colour I may have used an air brush, but not with oils none of my paintings are direct copies of photographs, photos are only used as references. None of my works are digitaly altered in anyway What you see is a direct photo from the original painting

One of the two squirrels that frequent the garden! This is the smallest, and the more timid of the two. It watched me for quite some time before plucking up the courage to climb up on the bird table and eat the nuts. Photography and editing by Jennifer Woodward © 2008
I think this was a slogan for something a long time ago. Or not. I dunno.
Made up from 2 of my photographs for the background and reindeer, I painted Father Christmas in green (using Corel paint brushes) because that’s what he used to wear until the Coca Cola people decided to brighten him up Lol. / I’ll probably work some more on the uncropped version of this and upload nearer that time of year.
Grey Nurse Sharks hang out off the NSW coast. Grey Nurse Sharks are known as Raggy Tooth Sharks in South Africa and Sand Tiger Sharks in the US. They are endangered in Australia, particularly in New South Wales waters yet the government has only made a half hearted attempts to protect the species. This shot is taken at Fish Rock, a known GNS aggregation site. While I was diving here several boats were fishing in this “protected” site (couple of hundred meter radius)...protecting = no anchoring for the fishing boats…..a joke! If there is a happy story for the GNS, its that public awareness of its plight is growing and that has to be a good thing. This shot also features in one of my calendar’s

They’re about the size of a fingernail … a regular fingernail, you know, the kind that scrubs floors and does a bit of gardening (when not taking pictures, that is), not those long fancy manicured types. I decided the other day that it was time these guys paid for all my rescue efforts with a little modeling. Fear not … after 5 minutes or so he was sent on his merry way!!! Image taken with the Nikon D300 and the 60mm Nikon/Nikkor macro/micro lens on the morning of June 21, 2009. Shutter at 1/400, aperture f/10.0, exp. 0.00, iso 400. Also Available:

Sometimes the simplest objects can create intriguing results. This is a contemporary pencil case made from multiple strips of brightly coloured fabric. My eye was caught by the long vertical strips of interlocking teeth – and the fact that each strip ends in a metal tab. The sharp focus of the tabs in front was perfect to use depth of field to emphasise the fact that the rear tabs (literally only a centimetre away) were visible but in soft focus. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D in dull light, using my favourite lens, a Sigma 18-125mm. Featured in CONTRASTING PERCEPTIONS, August 2009. 117-9265
